The BioLink project was set up for a threefold purpose: 1. To assess existing biobanks’ and registries’ willingness to link and share data; 2. To set up demonstration projects, identifying pitfalls and stumbling blocks in complex linkage projects; 3. To develop a standardized method of sharing data across registries and institutes, that would enable faster data access without compromising legal or ethical considerations.
