cBioPortal

The cBio Cancer Genomics Portal is an open-source resource for interactive exploration of multidimensional cancer genomics data sets.

BBMRI-NL’s cBioportal service
The cBioPortal web interface makes visualization of gene-level data across genes, samples and data types available to users that lack bioinformatics expertise. Visualizations include survival analysis, networks analysis, co-expression and the onco-print (gene-print). Furthermore, a study view provides summary statistics of clinical data and allows to create data subsets for further analysis.

The portal supports various genomic data types, including somatic mutations, DNA copy-number alterations (CNAs), mRNA and microRNA (miRNA) expression, DNA methylation, protein abundance, and phosphoprotein abundance.

The cBioPortal services hosted by BBMRI-NL in collaboration with TraIT has access policies to protect your data. Study owners can decide which users have access to their studies.

Using cBioPortal
BBRMRI-NL supports a central cBioPortal service for multi-center biomarker studies. Requesting access and getting started is mostly organized through the Service desk:
